Are you due for a timing belt?

West Highlands Auto Repair would like to talk about timing belts maintenance – Although timing belts are critical, there’s no need to replace them regularly –Unless is due by milage or by age most vehicle recommend to replace on the interval service maintenance.

Timing belts are recommended to replace between 60,000 and 100,000 miles otherwise every 5 years to 7 years, your belt is rubber and wear and break milage or of age. Most vehicle manufacture recommend read the maintenance booklet that came with the vehicle would tell. If a timing belt breaks this can cause catastrophic damage to the valves to worse piston which will ether require cylinder head repair to engine replacement which can about thousands in dollars in repairs.
